GestationCalc was founded to build the most comprehensive and accurate animal gestation calculator resource on the internet. Rather than covering a handful of common farm animals, the site now spans 125+ calculators across farm animals, pets, poultry and birds, reptiles, fish and aquatic species, wild animals, and amphibians — giving every visitor a single place to find reliable reproductive data, regardless of how common or unusual the species.
Every calculator on the site is built around scientifically validated data drawn from primary veterinary and agricultural sources, not from other websites or unverified forum posts. Where individual sources disagree, we show the full range rather than presenting a single figure as fact, so visitors can see exactly how much natural variation exists for their species.
Our mission is to give farmers, breeders, pet owners, veterinary students, wildlife researchers, and animal enthusiasts a single trusted reference point for animal reproductive data — free to use, with no account or signup required.

Our Editorial Process
Every gestation period, incubation timeline, and breeding data point published on GestationCalc is verified against at least two primary sources before publication. We do not publish a figure sourced from a single website, and we do not rely on anecdotal or forum-sourced information.

Content is written to reflect the latest veterinary and agricultural consensus, not anecdotal or forum-sourced information — the same standard we hold every page on this site to, from the most common farm animals to the rarest exotic species.
